What we’re about
The International Cinéma Club Montréal is a friendly group dedicated to watching movies from around the world! Every week, we meet at a café to watch a film, have some snacks, and discuss cinema!
Every week, I will bring three movies for us to vote on as a group. Each of the three movies will be from a different country, or at least in a different language. The criteria for which films I select will be as follows:
- The movie must be in a different language than the chosen movie of the previous week.
- The movie must be appropriate for a public setting (no overly violent or sexual content)
- The movie will usually be a classic or a well-recognized contemporary director in the country of origin.
All movies will be presented with both English and french subtitles, regardless of the audio language.
After the movie, we will have a discussion period lasting between 30 minutes to an hour. If necessary, we will split into english and french groups.

L'International Cinéma Club Montréal est un groupe amical dédié au visionnement de films du monde entier ! Chaque semaine, nous nous réunissons dans un café pour regarder un film, prendre des collations et discuter de cinéma !
Chaque semaine, j'apporterai trois films pour que nous puissions voter en groupe. Chacun des trois films proviendra d'un pays différent, ou au moins d'une langue différente. Les critères de sélection des films seront les suivants :
- Le film doit être dans une langue différente de celle du film choisi la semaine précédente.
- Le film doit être approprié pour un public (pas de contenu trop violent ou sexuel).
- Le film sera généralement un classique ou un réalisateur contemporain reconnu dans le pays d'origine.
Tous les films seront présentés avec des sous-titres anglais et français, quelle que soit la langue audio.
Après le film, nous aurons une période de discussion qui durera entre 30 minutes et une heure. Si nécessaire, nous nous diviserons en groupes anglais et français.
