In this talk, Daisy Shearer from the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) will provide an overview of quantum computing and how this emerging technology is expected to impact society. We will explore the quantum physics features that underpin quantum computing, the differences between classical and quantum computing, how to create a quantum bit and building quantum algorithms.
