
What we’re about
Solemates Norfolk Walks is a well organised and a friendly group of people with a positive, uplifting vibe. We walk mainly throughout Norfolk on Sunday morning's plus some evening walks during the summer months and social events where possible. Walking helps to create an improved mood and general overall wellbeing with like minded people with the added bonus of getting to see some parts of the countryside that perhaps you would not otherwise see yourself.
One issue we are strict about is no dogs due to possible cattle problems. If you would like to find out more about us then please take a look at the website www.solematesnorfolkwalks.com or joining the facebook page on the website for photo's etc.
We welcome new faces who are keen to walk to try out walking. Currently the yearly membership is £25.00. However, please note the walks are not a stroll but are more brisk at around 3mph. Some people prefer this but it is an individual choice and considered more beneficial for you.
All you need to bring on the walk is some snacks/drinks for a break and to wear suitable attire.

Ludham Walk 7.5 miles approx
Ludham Village Hall, Broad Reaches, Ludham, GBHello, please meet/park at Ludham Village Hall, Norwich Road, Ludham, NR29 5PB ready to start walking at 10.30am. The village hall will be open for toilets today and we will need to make a £1.00 donation per person towards village hall funds. (Someone from the V. Hall committee will be there to collect this) The walk is along the River with far reaching views, and we will have a short stop on route, so please bring snacks/drinks for this. After the walk there is the option of having a drink in the local pub, The Kings Arms. Sorry no dogs allowed on the walk. Please sign up if your pretty sure you can attend. We welcome new faces to our group for a trial walk before deciding if you would like to join for the yearly membership of £25.00 (No waiting lists to think about on any of our walks !)

Poringland walk 6.5/7 miles
Amelia House, Brooke Industrial Park, NR15 1HJ , Amelia Brook Industrial Estate NR15 1HJ, Norwich, GBHello, please meet/park in the large dead end layby just off the Bungay Road, B1332 on the right going out of the City, just past Brooke Industrial Park. There is a sign saying Street Lighting Depot on the Road. Nearest post code is NR15 1HJ ready for a 10.30am prompt start. Please google the area with the post code to get an idea (I hope to post a picture of the area for you nearer the time) The walk uses paths and tracks and quiet country roads with some undulating countryside. After the walk there is the chance of a drink in the Dove Pub in Poringland or the Royal Oak, Poringland. New faces welcome to come along and try us out for a free trail before deciding if you would like to join Solemates for a yearly membership of £25.00. Normally no waiting list to get onto a walk! Brandiston and Haveringland 7 miles
St Peters Church, Haveringland , St peter Church, Haveringland, Norfolk NR10 4PW, Norwich, GBHello please park in front of this Church, St Peter's at Haveringland, NR10 4PW ready for a 10.30am start. A small donation towards church funds for letting us park here. Sorry no toilets available. There is plenty of parking at the Church which is down a long driveway! We take in 3 churches on this walk, passing through Swannington along the way, via the manor and the hall. Mostly footpaths, tracks and some quiet lanes. Sorry no dogs allowed on the walk, please bring snacks/drinks for a break. On our return we have a choice of drinks, either the Bell at Cawston or the Marsham Arms. To be decided on the day.
