About us
Solemates Norfolk Walks is a well organised and a friendly group of people with a positive, uplifting vibe. We walk mainly throughout Norfolk on Sunday morning's plus some evening walks during the summer months and social events where possible. Walking helps to create an improved mood and general overall wellbeing with like minded people with the added bonus of getting to see some parts of the countryside that perhaps you would not otherwise see yourself.
One issue we are strict about is no dogs due to possible cattle problems. If you would like to find out more about us then please take a look at the website www.solematesnorfolkwalks.com or joining the facebook page on the website for photo's etc.
We welcome new faces who are keen to walk to try out walking. Currently the yearly membership is £25.00. However, please note the walks are not a stroll but are more brisk at around 3mph. Some people prefer this but it is an individual choice and considered more beneficial for you.
All you need to bring on the walk is some snacks/drinks for a break and to wear suitable attire.

Yelverton/Alpington walk 7.5 miles
Gull Pub, Loddon Road, Framingham Pigot, NORWICH, NR14 7PL, Norwich, GBHello, please park/meet in the large layby near the Gull pub (now closed) Framingham Pigot, Loddon Road A146, NR14 7PL ready for the usual 10.30am start. The walk is a mixture of footpaths and tracks in the Yelverton and Alpington area. You will need to bring some snacks and wear suitable clothing for the conditions. Sorry no dogs allowed. After the walk there is the Wheel of Fortune in Alpington or Highways garden centre for a cuppa if people prefer. New faces welcome to come along and try us out for a free trail. Horsford 7.5 miles approx plus optional drinks afterwards🍷🍺
Church Rooms, Holt Road, Horsford, NR10 3DE, Norwich, GBHello, please meet/park at the Church Room, Holt Road, Horsford, NR10 3DE ready for a 10.30am start. Please park tightly, £1.00 per person donation towards church room funds and there will be toilets available too.
The walk is a mixture of lanes, tracks which takes us over to Thorpe Marriot and Drayton. We will walk in Horsford woods (Broadland Park). Come along and shake off the winter blues with some walking and talking! New faces welcome to come along and try us out for a free trail. Barford and Colton walk 6.5 miles approx.
Barford And wramplingham Village Hall & Recreation Ground Car Park, Chapel Street, Barford NR9 4AB, Norwich, GBPlease join us for a shorter Autumn walk of 6.5 miles approx, south west in Norwich City. Please meet/park up at BARFORD VILLAGE HALL ON THE MAIN ROAD (pictured in Barford) Chapel Street, Barford,NR9 4AB ready for a 10.30am start. Toilets possibly available today, and a £1.00 donation per person towards village hall funds. (Please keep some change aside for parking!)
The walk is a circular one from Barford towards Colton, over and around Barnham Broom golf club and returning via Colton Wood. On our return there is the option of drinks nearby, either in Colton or the newly opened Marlingford Bell (we can decide nearer the time) Sorry no dogs allowed.
