About us
Solemates Norfolk Walks is a well organised and a friendly group of people with a positive, uplifting vibe. We walk mainly throughout Norfolk on Sunday morning's plus some evening walks during the summer months and social events where possible. Walking helps to create an improved mood and general overall wellbeing with like minded people with the added bonus of getting to see some parts of the countryside that perhaps you would not otherwise see yourself.
One issue we are strict about is no dogs due to possible cattle problems. If you would like to find out more about us then please take a look at the website www.solematesnorfolkwalks.com or joining the facebook page on the website for photo's etc.
We welcome new faces who are keen to walk to try out walking. Currently the yearly membership is £25.00. However, please note the walks are not a stroll but are more brisk at around 3mph. Some people prefer this but it is an individual choice and considered more beneficial for you.
All you need to bring on the walk is some snacks/drinks for a break and to wear suitable attire.

Dilham/North Walsham 8 miles
Weavers Way car park, Station Road, Briggate, NR28 9QX, Weavers Way Car park, Station Road, Briggate, NR28 9QX, Norwich, GBHello Everyone, please join Tony, one of our members who has kindly offered to lead us on this very pleasant and rewarding walk. We will meet in the free Weavers Way car park, Honing Station, Station road, Briggate, NR28 9QX ready for the usual 10.30am start. Please google the area before heading out. The walk takes along Weavers Way, North Walsham/Dilham Canal and back through East Ruston and Honing. After the walk there is the option of drinks in the newly reopened Crown Pub, in Smallburgh which now involves Wildcraft Brewery, all welcome. Lenwade Walk 6.5 miles
Norfolk Stoves, 1 Norwich Rd, Lenwade, Norwich NR9 5SH, UK, Lenwade, GBHello, please meet/park in the large layby on the A1067 near Norfolk Stoves, Norwich Road, NR9 5SH ready for the usual 10.30am start. The walk is along footpaths/tracks over to Swannington and returning along Marriots Way. Sorry no dogs on the walk. There will be a short break on route. Some of us will be having lunch after the walk at the Parson Woodforde, you are welcome to come along for drinks there. Strumpshaw walk 7 miles approx.
Strumpshaw village hall Mill Lane, NR13 4FS, Strumpshaw Village Hall, Mill Lane, NR13 4FS, Norwich, GBHello, please meet/park at Strumpshaw village hall, Mill Road, NR13 4FS ready for the usual 10.30am start. £1.00 towards village hall funds today please. The walk is a figure of eight walk and incorporates, good footpaths and tracks over to Blofield and Brundall on route. Refreshments available in one of the local pubs, a few to choose from. Please bring snacks/drinks for a break on route. Sorry no dogs allowed on the walks.
