Join us for a half-day meditation retreat on Sunday, January 18th, exploring the healing power of forgiveness.

They say forgiveness is “giving up hope for a better past.”

This retreat is an invitation to gently release what you’ve been carrying from the past and begin the year with more clarity, ease, and self-compassion.

We’ll explore forgiveness through three essential layers:

Forgiving ourselves
Forgiving others
Asking for forgiveness

These are powerful teachings and practices drawn from teachers such as Jack Kornfield and Bhante Vimalaramsi.

What to expect
• Guided meditation
• Talks on forgiveness
• Group sharing (optional)
• Quiet reflection
• Hot tea at the end ☕

There’s also an optional onsen and/or dinner nearby afterward at Niwa no Yu for those who’d like to decompress together. (please bring tatoo-sticker if you have tattoos)

About Your Teacher

Misha Yurchenko is a Tokyo-based certified meditation teacher with over ten years of meditation experience. He has spent time on retreat around the world and practiced a range of techniques. Today his main practice is samatha-vipassana and the Bramaviharas in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. After experiencing extreme burnout from his venture-funded startup, he founded Tokyo Mindfulness and is dedicated to helping others break free from themselves. He takes an integrated (and practical) approach combining meditation, breathwork, and nervous system healing to help people let go of the ego, release old habit patterns and find inner freedom. He is the author of several books and lives in Nerima with his family.
