About us
Deep Work is a professional space for meaningful, practical and joyful conversations around integrating spirituality and work.
It's purpose is to learn from each other, uplift, inspire and help people transform their professional relationships and find fulfilment at work. We seek to build a community that becomes a force of good.
WHO SHOULD JOIN
Deep Work welcomes business owners and professionals of all backgrounds and beliefs; optimistic "doers" looking to roll up their sleeves and effect a positive change in their lives, workplaces and communities.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to make lots of like-valued, like-hearted friends who are all striving to positively impact their workplaces and communities.
Over lunch we will explore a specific theme through carefully selected quotations from diverse traditions of thought, movies, literature, global thinkers, pop culture and more.
We will also create an art piece together - it could be a song or a sculpture, a painting or poem, a dance or some drama. :)
An important component of the reflection is on practical applications - how we can go beyond this space to create positive change in our own lives and the organisations and communities we belong to. As such, we'll offer a fun monthly challenge which usually takes the form of an act of service.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
In our effort to create a safe, respectful and uplifting space, it is important for us to share what Deep Work is NOT:
- A business networking group.
- A place to pitch or sell your services.
- A platform to convert others to any specific belief system.
- A therapy group or substitute for professional mental health support.
- A space for debating the validity of different spiritual traditions or beliefs.
- A purely theoretical discussion without practical applications.
- A performance-oriented environment where people feel pressured to demonstrate spiritual "achievement."
- A quick-fix solution for workplace challenges.
- A space that values intellectual discourse over authentic personal experience.
- A politically partisan gathering.
- A place that tolerates disrespect of any tradition, belief system, or individual.

Deep Work - When Lightning Strikes
THEME
At this Deep Work we'll explore how to tune in to the quiet whispers — and the thunderclaps — that life sends our way.
When Lightning Strikes invites us to recognise the moments of divine inspiration hiding in plain sight, and learn to trust the nudges, signs and sudden illuminations that point us toward our truest path.
TIMING
*Please arrive by 7:00PM for a 7:15PM start.
The event will conclude at 8:45PM.
SETUP
You will be seated in small groups of about 5 people. We encourage you to sit with people that you don't yet know. :)

- Standard Tickets - $20
For all tickets, we're happy to provide full refunds for any cancellations received with 48+ hours notice.
We will be serving tea, biscuits and soft drinks.
PROGRAM
Through carefully selected quotes and interactive discussions, we will:
- Explore the art of deep listening — how to distinguish between the noise of the world and the still, small voice within
- Share stories, laughter and insights: the hunches we followed, the signs we almost missed, and the unexpected sparks that changed everything
- Create casual and fun art that captures a moment of personal inspiration — a flash of insight rendered in colour, word or form
- Develop practical ways to cultivate receptivity in our daily work lives — slowing down enough to hear what the universe might be trying to tell us
Come ready to reflect, share and listen — to each other, and perhaps to something a little beyond. Leave with fresh eyes for the guidance already surrounding you, and the courage to act on it.

Deep Work - Ubuntu
Camberwell community center, 33/35 Fairholm Grove ,, Melbourne, AUTHEME
At this Deep Work event we'll explore Ubuntu — the art of operating as one.UBUNTU invites us beyond the boundaries of 'me' and into a deeper current, where many become a single organism: anticipating one another, moving in concert, and creating together what no one could alone.
TIMING
*Please arrive by 1:00PM for a 1:15PM start. The event will conclude at 2:45PM.
SETUP

Tickets are $15. We're happy to provide full refunds for cancellations received with 48+ hours notice.PROGRAM
Through carefully selected quotes and interactive discussions, we will:- Explore the hidden assumption that we succeed or fail alone, and notice the moments at work where 'we' quietly disappears
- Share stories, laughter and insights of moments of belonging—times a team carried us, or we carried someone else—and what they taught us about being human together
- Create casual and fun art that captures connection, belonging, and the threads that bind us to one another
- Develop practical ideas to bring more 'we' into our teams—through how we listen, share, and show up for one another
Come ready to feel what it's like when 'me' gives way to 'we'—when a group moves like a single living organism. You'll leave inspired to bring that same flow into your own teams, equipped with fresh perspectives on trust, anticipation, and the quiet art of moving as one.
