About us
Here's to the deep ones...
The ones who know that a full calendar and a healthy bottom line don't add up to a full life.
The ones who sit in a meeting and wonder if there's a better way to be human at work. Who know that a business can be a force for good, if only the people inside it were willing to go a little deeper.
They come from every faith. And from none. What they share isn't a belief system — it's a posture. A refusal to leave their soul at the door.
Some call it spirituality. Some call it conscience. Some don't have a word for it yet. But they feel it — that pull toward meaning, toward connection, toward work that actually matters.
You won't find them networking. You'll find them listening. Really listening.
They don't want to pitch you. They want to know what keeps you up at night — and what gets you out of bed in the morning.
These are the people who transform their workplaces not with strategy decks, but with presence. Not with disruption, but with depth.
This is their community.
Welcome to Deep Work.
ABOUT
Deep Work is a professional space for meaningful, practical and joyful conversations at the intersection of spirituality and work.
It's purpose is to learn from each other, uplift, inspire and help people transform their professional relationships and find fulfilment at work. We seek to build a community that becomes a force of good.
WHO SHOULD JOIN
Deep Work welcomes professionals and business owners of all backgrounds and beliefs; optimistic "doers" looking to roll up their sleeves and effect a positive change in their lives, workplaces and communities.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to make lots of like-valued, like-hearted friends who are all striving to positively impact their workplaces and communities.
Together, we will explore a specific theme through carefully selected quotations from diverse traditions of thought, movies, literature, global thinkers, pop culture and more.
We will also create an art piece together - it could be a song or a sculpture, a painting or poem, a dance or some drama. :)
An important component of the reflection is on practical applications - how we can go beyond this space to create positive change in our own lives and the organisations and communities we belong to. As such, we'll offer a fun monthly challenge which usually takes the form of an act of service.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
In our effort to create a safe, respectful and uplifting space, it is important for us to share what Deep Work is NOT:
- A business or professional networking group.
- A place to pitch or sell your services.
- A platform to convert others to any specific belief system.
- A therapy group or substitute for professional mental health support.
- A space for debating the validity of different spiritual traditions or beliefs.
- A purely theoretical discussion without practical applications.
- A performance-oriented environment where people feel pressured to demonstrate spiritual "achievement."
- A quick-fix solution for workplace challenges.
- A space that values intellectual discourse over authentic personal experience.
- A politically partisan gathering.
- A place that tolerates disrespect of any tradition, belief system, or individual.

Deep Work - Truth as a Trampoline

The event will conclude at 8:45PM.
SETUP
You will be seated in small groups of about 5 people. We encourage you to sit with people that you don't yet know. :)

Standard tickets are $20.

We will be serving tea, biscuits and soft drinks.
PROGRAM
Through carefully selected quotes and interactive discussions, we will:
- Explore the art of honest feedback — how to tell someone the truth in a way that lifts them up rather than knocks them down
- Share stories, laughter and insights: the feedback that stung but shaped us, the truths we softened into silence, and the reality check that unexpectedly launched us higher
- Create casual and fun art that captures a moment when honesty became a springboard — a truth that changed our direction, rendered in colour, word or form
- Develop practical ways to give and receive feedback in our daily work lives — turning reality checks into springboards and criticism into momentum
Come ready to reflect, share and listen — to each other, and to the honest voices that help us grow. Leave with the courage to speak truth kindly, and the openness to bounce higher from the truths others offer you.
