Join me for a guided walking tour of the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary at One Mile, and together we’ll enjoy the rare experience of seeing these fascinating animals in their natural bushland setting.

The Sanctuary has been formed through a partnership between Port Stephens Council and Port Stephens Koala Hospital, and provides exceptional care for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas. Our local guide will share their enthusiasm and knowledge about the lives of koalas, their rehabilitation, and conservation of their native bushland habitat.

Make new friends and enjoy the outdoors as we spend time on the elevated walkway together, with a unique perspective into each koala’s tree-top home and lots of opportunities for engaging photography. On the way back we’ll take a look into the specialised clinic room of the Hospital.

After the walk we’ll have time to relax and socialise with a coffee and snack at the Fat Possum Café.
This is a family friendly event.

Agenda
I’ll meet you in the Koala Centre reception area at 10.00am.
Entry fees are Adult $28 Concession $19 Children $13. The fee for our local guide is $5.

We'll set out at 10.15am to explore the Sanctuary, starting with the path through the native gardens, then up and around the elevated walkway with tree top views of the koalas, and come back via the Koala Hospital viewing area.

The tour is about I hour and we’ll return to the café to share a chat and coffee together.
