What we’re about
We’re forageSF, a small team passionate about teaching folks how to find and cook wild foods. Since 2008, we’ve been hosting classes all over California from mushroom foraging in the redwoods to seaweed harvests on the coast. Our events are hands-on, seasonal, and open to all experience levels.
Join us for wild plant walks, cooking classes, crab harvesting, mushroom foraging, and more.

See all- Seaweed Foraging Camp & Coastal Hot Tubs – Mendocino CoastLink visible for attendees$1.00
Join us for a weekend on the Mendocino coast, where we’ll harvest wild seaweed, cook together, and soak in the beauty of the tides.
Led by longtime herbalist and forager Tanya Stiller, this small-group camp blends hands-on learning with nourishment and connection—to the land, to food, and to one another.
Expect morning foraging sessions during low tide, time to explore coastal ecology, seaweed cooking demos, and evening soaks in seaweed-infused hot tubs. Group size is limited to 15 people to keep the experience grounded and relaxed.
Dogs are welcome (on leash). Meals are mostly shared, and we accommodate dietary needs when possible.
