π Old City Philly and Dim Sum π

Details
Let's spend the day in Philadelphia before SEPTA Regional Rail ends its route to Wilmington! Starting in August, they will reduce the number of trains per day and completely discontinue service at the end of the year. π₯
We'll leave from Churchman's Crossing at 8:00 and arrive at Jefferson Station at 9:17. You pay the $9 fare on board (cash or card). If you have a senior fare card, it's $4.50.
We'll walk to Old City and take an $8 self-guided tour of Christ Church, and sit in the pews where George Washington, Ben Franklin, and the signers of the Declaration of Independence once worshiped. We will also tour the burial grounds and see Ben Franklin's grave. Close by, we will tour the Betsy Ross house ($12 adults, $10 for 65+). We'll stroll through history down Elfreth's Alley whose rowhouses date back to 1720 and is one of the oldest continually inhabited residential streets in the US! We will also take a 45-minute self-guided tour of the US Mint (free) to see coins being made! We will then walk around the Chinese Lantern Festival at Franklin Square, before enjoying lunch at Dim Sum Garden in Chinatown!
$30 PER PERSON MENU includes: Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings, Steamed Chicken Dumplings, Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, Scallion Pancakes, Chicken On A Stick, Pork/Veg Noodles, General Tso's Chicken, and Season Vegetables.
We will return on the 2:33 train, arriving at Churchman's Crossing at 3:30. Purchase your $9 ticket at the kiosk inside the station before going down to the tracks.
So much history to experience in Philadelphia! We will be walking at least 3 miles.
If the weather is rainy or too hot, we will change the date. We don't have to buy any tickets ahead of time.
