Let's go kayaking on Lums Pond (weather permitting)! If you don't have your own kayak, you can rent one. Be sure to arrive by 10:00am when the rental office opens to get your choice of kayak. Rentals include paddles and life vests.
Single Kayak, $10 per hour
Tandem Kayak, $12 per hour
We will only paddle for an hour on the lake. Bring water and snacks, sunscreen, hat, a towel and a waterproof pouch for your cell phone. Water shoes and a cushion to sit on are useful, but not necessary.
If you don't have a state park pass, the fee is $5 for DE residents, $10 for out of state.
Directions: The main entrance of the park is on Howell School Road. Drive to Area 2 and turn right into parking area. From here, you will have to walk 2 or 3 minutes on a paved path through the woods to the rental office.
