"Rules".
1) Make sure you're receiving messages from Foodies Rock!. If I can't get in touch with you thru the app in, say, a day or 2, that won't work for our community. I have many regulars' cell numbers, and most members have mine. It would be ideal if we could migrate to having each others' cell numbers, but I realize it may take a few meetings with me to make you feel - maybe - comfortable with sharing your number.
2) If you don't have a real profile pic, its hard for us to be friends, and that's the purpose of this group: to make friends. If you don't have a real profile pic of yourself, you might not be admitted to our group.
3) No last minute cancellations, and definitely no "no-shows" (wihtout a reasonable explanation). Anyone canceling same day or not showing up may be removed from the group. But maybe not. :-)
4) Again, my reason to have this group is to make good friends, like I have been doing over the last 20 years or so. You'd be surprised. Its one of the good things in life.
5) In advance: Welcome to our group! Let's have fun making friends over dinners and maybe some other activities!

GA Tech Volleyball!
O'Keefe Gym, O'Keefe - Main Bldg, Atlanta, GA 30332, USA, Atlanta, GA, USIn One of my past lives I used to be a lot of things in volleyball .... among them I was a DI Referee. I've officiated many places around the country including California, the Midwest, Northeast, I've been on TV matches, etc.
My favorite place to ref was the GA Tech gymnasium. Last night I was talking to a Foodies Rock! friend about going to sporting events, and I'm gonna try this.
Let's go to see GA Tech versus NC State, which is one of their better matches ... I don't know about now but used to be. I'm going to go check it out; why don't you join me?

- It will be 5 courses (he said "not tiny, definitely substantial").
- It will cost (estimated) about $150 w/o wine, or $200 with wine pairing.

This is a placeholder for an event I'm working on at Bey Mediterranean restaurant in Roswell, like I mentioned in an email I sent to everyone yesterday, Sep 18, at 4:00 PM (if you didn't receive it, check your spam folder and make "email.meetup.com" [or whatever it is - I'm not IT] a trusted, non-spam, address).
I sent a message to the owner of the restaurant and asked for a private room (or whatever they have) on Saturday, November 7th, at 6:00 PM (I haven't heard back yet). I don't know what it will cost, but I'll find that stuff out. Its also possible, based on us and the restaurant, that we could pick another date. But sign up if you're interested. Also, this will most likely be a pre-pay event.
