What we’re about
The mission of Forward is to build open accessible public institutions where people can continuously engage with curiosity and the best intentions. Although affiliated nationally with the Forward Party, this is a nonpartisan group to assist Hoosiers engaging in civic life to ensure cultural, political and economic systems that work for most of us.
The values guiding this group forward are:
- Civic Participation - An America that is optimistic, creative, and kind enabled by a government that is just,representative, ethical, open, and innovative by default, and that is animated by the vibrant, full participation of all Americans.
- Human Development - People and communities are good and capable of growth.
- Pluralism and Free Press - Encourage a humble pluralism that leads to better ideas. This requires having multiple reliable, independent news outlets.
- Good Government - Responsive public processes and institutions that make participating in civic life easy.
