What we’re about
Many people have found that through life’s ups and downs, art can be a valuable path to healing, rest, and personal growth. It is my joy to create a space where others can connect with their own creativity in a manner that is easy, fun, and supported.
Our groups are flexible creative spaces. You are welcome to bring any creative material you want to work with. Some people draw, paint, and write poetry.
The only class that has a supplies list is Watercolor for Beginners. Please see the event for details. For all other classes, at a minimum, I recommend something that allows you to use color, such as colored pens, markers, pencils, etc. You don't have to use color in your work, but it is important that while you are working it is accessible to you.
The goal of all of our events, is to create a welcoming, supportive, creative community. We often share in discussion about topics related to art and wellbeing.
Looking forward to seeing you!
Best,

•OnlineArt Journaling for Self care
OnlineThis event focuses on art journaling as a tool for self-care while creating a fun, relaxed community environment to support the creative process.
Many of us lead busy and stressful lives and tend to put our own needs at the bottom of the list. However, self-care is health care, and we are intuitively creative beings. Art journaling provides a doorway to access our inner healing spirit.
No art skills are needed for this class - it is open to everyone, regardless of experience or skill level. Each person uses the supplies they have on hand, pen, pencil, watercolor, markers, colored pencils, anything goes. Some people draw, paint, write poetry, or journal. Do what works best for you.
What to expect: 1. We open with a discussion about what self-care needs are showing up for us. Here you can share as much or as little as you like. 2. I will offer the group an art/journaling prompt based on the discussion. 3. We then take some time and gather whatever materials we choose and begin creating. 4. During the creative time, general discussions are welcome, and occasionally I will play background music. 5. We close with a discussion of our exploration, what was it like to make time for yourself today?
Participants are invited to upload photos of their work at any time. I hope that this time becomes a touchstone in your schedule, where you can schedule self-care.
We have been blessed to have many wonderful, creative, supportive participants. I invite you to make time to support yourself and share in the support of others.
If attendance exceeds 12 participants, I would like to ask for a volunteer co-host. The co-host responsibilities would include monitoring the chat and managing the waiting room.
Hope to see you soon, Salina
