New Roots, New Businesses: Creativity Across Borders and Algorithms
Location not specified yetRSVP on EventBrite here.
An intimate speaker event featuring immigrant business owners who crossed continents to build something new, personally and professionally.
What does it really take to start a business in a country that is not your own? This event brings together immigrants who arrived in the Netherlands, decided to become business owners, building from the ground up. They come from different continents or countries, different professional worlds, and different cultural contexts, and they share a common drive to create, contribute, and connect in their new home.Through candid conversation and personal storytelling, our speakers will explore what it means to be solopreneurs in the Netherlands (and worldwide, virtually): the challenges of navigating an unfamiliar market, the advantages of a fresh perspective, and the practical tools and strategies that are shaping the next generation of one-person businesses.
In this live webcast episode, we invite our first guest speaker, Sevgül Sümer Dielemans, an illustrator and owner of Evil Strawberry Arts & Illustration, to speak with us about being a creative who has lived in multiple countries and how it is to balance life with human intelligence and artificial intelligence.
This event has been designed with whole heart and mind for:
- Aspiring and current solopreneurs curious about AI-driven and people-centered business models
- Immigrants and expats in the Netherlands exploring entrepreneurship as a path forward
- Business owners seeking fresh perspectives on courses, systems, and operational tools
- Professionals interested in the intersection of organizational development and technology
Whether you are new to another country, new to business ownership, or simply looking for inspiration and practical insight, this event offers honest, experience-driven conversation from two people doing the work in real time.
