You may be wondering... what does this have to do with survival skills? To that I answer first with: do you not want to sneak around in the woods? Do you need more justification. My second answer is, the ability to move unseen and unheard through enemy territories is an incredibly valuable skill for anyone who doesn't want to get dead. The ability to move toward danger undetected is a good way to gather information that could save the lives of you and your loved ones. The ability to get close to an animal makes eating it a lot easier.

PLEASE RSVP if you're coming!

What to expect:
-belly crawling (or your preffered method of sneaking) REALLY SLOWLY through the brush towards your objective (if you move slow you're less likely to be seen)
-being on a team with other people
-defending your "team base" (by keeping an eye out for sneaky people)
-MAYBE some tactical advice on how to use the shapes and shadows of the landscape to disguise your movement (if you earn it)
-ticks. Wear bug spray and whatever kind of protective clothing makes you comfortable and maybe take some monolaurin (coconut derivative, allegedly prevents lymes)

What not to expect:
-running or a fast paced game. This isn't night time capture the flag (this time). If you run you will be seen, if you're seen you will face consequences
-good lighting. We'll be operating on moonlight and just a little lantern light here and there
-to be comfortable. It'll probably be chilly and the ground might be damp and you might get stuck holding your body in an uncomfortable position 10 minutes while someone is staring right at you without realizing. It's type 2 fun, that's part of it.

What to bring:
-a blindfold or bandana
-earth-tone clothes you can get dirty
-camoflauging materials (charcoal, clay, earth toned makeup, face paint, whatever) if you have it and you want it
-a good attitude (see last bullet of previous list)

These sneakiness skills were passed down to me by the Tracker School (cool place, check it out if you're interested in skills). They call them "scout skills" because they were used by the Apache scouts / protectors of the tribe (who taught the person who taught the person who started the Tracker School where they do stuff like this). This will be a relatively fun, light hearted scout ish kind of night, but we're mostly going to be playing games and having fun. However, if people show interest and commitment, the next sneak night can be... more intense
