MORGAN MONROE STATE FOREST ROCK SHELTER TRAIL
Details
Come to the first day of winter hike! From I-465 S take I-69 south to Liberty Church Rd just south of Martinsville. Turn left and go over I-69 and then an immediate right onto Hacker Creek/Old State Rd 37 S. Follow this about four miles and turn left into Morgan Monroe State Forest. Go about three miles to the parking lot for the Rock Shelter Trail and we will meet there. This will be a moderately paced 3-4 mile hike through the Seedy Hollow Nature Preserve and by the eponymous feature the trail is named for. Leader: Ari Shifron (812-272-6926)
Meetup guests are always welcome and there is no fee to hike with us but please no pets. Meetup attendees will be joined by members of the Indianapolis Hiking Club who do not have to sign up for the hike on Meetup.
Expect to start promptly at 9:30 so don't be late.
