We’re an in-person group for life-long learners who think educational field trips aren’t just for kids.  We’ll explore local exhibits, events, and workshops on a wide variety of topics and then grab a bite to eat or a beverage together.

    The VLA holds an open house every year. They give tours that show more of the site that is usually closed off to visitors.

    ## Event Overview

    Join us for our annual Spring Open House at one of the world’s most iconic astronomical observatories! The Very Large Array (VLA) Open House invites science enthusiasts, families, and explorers of all ages to experience radio astronomy up close.
    This free community event features guided tours, hands-on activities, expert talks, and delicious food from local vendors.

    • Every 30 minutes from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
