About us
This group (previously Dance Medicine) is for you if you are interested in personal growth opportunities and open hearted accepting practices.
I want to share amazing events with kind brave people. Some events cost money, some are by donation and some are free. I will host or connect us to opportunities to dance, sing, heal, meditate, talk, walk or get fit.
We will meet to practice yoga, Pilates, T'ai Chi, Push Hands, meditation or healing modalities; we may enjoy ecstatic dance, karaoke, walking, eating, kirtan, Ram Dass satsang or just chatting together.
Watch for the possibility to find your groove.
Lisa :)

-RSVP to karunayoga888@gmail.comIn my own journey of health and well-being I have been supported by these yoga practices for over 20 years. More recently, I have had experiences of grief and loss, broken ankle, the birth of a granddaughter( !), care for aging parents, and frozen shoulders. All of these experiences guided me to deepen my yoga and meditation practice and build curiosity into how we heal.
I have come to know that there is a stillness within and beyond the turbulence of life. It is accessible by becoming increasingly compassionate for ourselves, right where we are. Radical compassion allows us to stop and be with our changing circumstances with great care and recognition that we are not alone. Self-compassion draws on the remembrance that all of us experience incredibly difficult and challenging times as well as uplifting and joyful times that are the essence of what life is made of.
This will be a chair class so that we do not struggle with our bodies, but trust that giving the support we need begins our journey of being our own best friend. We will challenge ourselves to be Present, Aware, and without Self-Judging thoughts, as we move towards a peace that comes from within.
My vision is for building community and a sense of ongoing connection so that we feel inspired by our practice and motivated by our shared intentional wellness. Please contact me for additional details and attachments. Send me an email to begin participation and to receive a waiver form and optional health history. The more I know about your health history, the more I'm able to structure the class to meet your needs.
With great care and respect,
