About us
A Summer Village for Families Who Want to Spend Summer Together
We care about connection, community, and the idea that raising children takes a village. This group is an alternative to traditional summer camps while sharing adventures together and having the support of like minded friends. We will meet at parks, beaches, museums, libraries, and nature spots while building friendships and supporting one another.
Love is love. All families are welcome here.
We believe in kindness, diversity, and loving our neighbors. This is an inclusive space that values respect for all people and families. Discrimination, racism, homophobia, or intolerance of any kind will not be welcome in our village.
Meetup members and organizers need to be at least 18 years old. While family groups are more than welcome on Meetup, anyone under the age of 18 attending an event must be accompanied by an adult. You can learn more about our age policies in our community guidelines.

Explore the Boardman River Nature Center’s new Story Trail with Michigan author, Allison Bartlette! This hands-on event will feature a craft, scavenger hunt, and interactive book reading of Bartlette’s book: Walking on a Trail.
