Do you consider yourself someone who sees the world differently? Maybe you question the status quo, feel a lack of trust in politics and media, cant stand the rat race, or think the way we're living just isnt quite right.
Perhaps you've always felt this way or the last five years have made you question things.
Either way, being someone who questions the way things are can be isolating and frustrating, and it can be hard to find others on the same wavelength.
This is the group for you if youre looking to meet likeminded individuals who are more into talking about the big things- whether that be current events and politics, the direction the world is going in, the influence of technology and media, or even more unusual things such as the nature of reality, conspiracy theory, extraterrestrials and the unknown, spirituality, and all those other topics that may be out of place, or not of interest, in everyday discussion and other meetup groups.
If any one of the aforementioned topics doesnt interest you(for example, youre into current events and have concerns about the use of technology, but have no interest in spirituality), you're still more than welcome to join if you wish.
All I ask is that we keep things calm, collected and respectful when differences of opinion inevitably arise, that we use such situations to expand our understanding, and that no attempts at enforcing any personal or political beliefs or ideas are made. And of course, that we're welcoming to all members in general.
We'll get together for more casual hangouts(think your typical social meetup but with more talk of the unusual and unorthodox!) aswell as coming together for events with a more "official" talking point. Meetups and events will be held(depending on numbers of people coming) in the Warwickshire area in cafes, pubs and as the weather gets warmer, events will mostly be held outdoors.
That being said, welcome to the group and hopefully upon joining you'll find the connection and discussion with other Freethinkers that can seem so hard to come by...
