Locating Care: Accessing Mental Health Services and Understanding Policy

Details
### This program is the second installment of NAMI SF's community-oriented advocacy workshops. This program will be held in person, in San Francisco!
### Locating Care: Accessing Mental Health Services and Understanding Policy focuses on three subjects: finding and accessing mental health coverage, community mental health services, and relevant mental health laws and policies.
### NAMI staff and board will discuss a range of issues including how to get your health insurer to provide mental health care coverage and file a grievance if they don't, how to access community health care services, and understanding the California laws that protect access to mental health care.
### Additionally, the conversation will touch on disparities in mental health services for folks from minoritized, underserved communities and how to locate culturally appropriate care.
### This program is open to all community members. We hope to connect with you on August 24 at the Ortega Street public library!
