Panhandle Trail

Weather permitting, we are going to bike part of the Panhandle Trail starting in Rennerdale at Walkers Mill Rd. We will bike about 17 of the 29 mile trail to Burgettstown and return. The trail surface is mostly paved but wide open with lots of sun, but the high temperature is only going to be 66 degrees. For those interested in dining afterwards, we may have lunch at Helicon Brewery. Helmets, water, and sunscreen are highly recommended.
From Pittsburgh, follow Rt 79 S to Noblestown Rd. Turn and head west 1.7 miles to Walkers Mill Rd then 0.1 mile to parking lot on right.
As always, we will not be in a race to get to the finish line; we will be looking to have fun biking the trail. You can ride at your own pace because we will always “Meetup” along the trail. Nobody is ever left behind. Some ride leisurely and others are more aggressive but we will not be competing. Our goal is to meet new friends, see nature at its finest, get lots of great exercise, and maybe a tasty lunch too. Join us and put some fun into your life.
