GAP Trail - Boston Bridge to W Newton

Details
Weather permitting we are going to bike the Great Allegheny PassageTrail from the Boston Bridge in Mckeesport to West Newton. The trail is 28 miles round trip unless we decide to go a little further. We will meet at the parking lot under the Boston Bridge. Please be on time.
The trail is crushed limestone, well maintained, very scenic, and not very difficult. It follows the Youghiogheny River so the change in elevation is slight. You won't be disappointed. We will stop at the Dravo Cemetery for a quick breather and to view the graves. There is a lot of sunshine on the trail so bring sunscreen. Helmets are recommended. We will not be in a race to get to the finish line; we will be looking to have fun biking the trail. You can ride at your own pace because we will always “Meetup” along the trail and nobody is ever left behind. Some ride leisurely and others more aggressive, but we will not be competing. Our goal is to meet new friends, see nature at its finest, get lots of great exercise, and maybe a tasty lunch too. Join us and put some fun into your life.
Follow Walnut St through McKeesport and cross the Boston Bridge. At the light make two sharp right turns and park into the lot. 1902 Donner St Boston, PA
