Freeport to Butler bike ride

Details

Weather permitting we are going to bike the Freeport to Butler Trail. The trail is about 42 miles round trip with some elevation. The surface is mostly crushed limestone and some is paved. It parallels the Buffalo Creek with sun and shade so bring sun screen and water. The Derailleur Cafe is at mile marker 15, so you can stop for a rest and do only 30 miles if you prefer. They sell hamburgers, sandwiches, drinks and ice cream. This is a good place for us to “Meet Up,”
We will meet at 10 Main St Freeport 16229.
As always, we will not be in a race to get to the finish line; we will be looking to have fun biking the trail. You can ride at your own pace because we will always “Meetup” along the trail. Nobody is ever left behind. Some ride leisurely and others are more aggressive but we will not be competing. Our goal is to meet new friends, see nature at its finest, get lots of great exercise, and maybe a tasty lunch too. Join us and put some fun into your life.
