About us
Why do we study Buddhism?
Currently, we face the increasing fast pace of the high-tech development of society and our
ability to cope with this situation is becoming more limited, causing psychological imbalance
and a lot of unhappiness in our minds. Due to the psychological imbalance of society, we not
only have to face its out-of-control rhythm, but also must deal with all kinds of malice and
hostility around us. How to adjust the relationship between ourselves and others, to enable us
to live harmoniously along with others in this complex social relationship, to treat both
ourselves and others suitably and appropriately, this requires the perfect wisdom of the
Buddha to really merge into one's mind. Only in this way can we control our present and future
conditions.
The word "karma"; is found in Buddhism, Brahmanism, Jainism, etc. Its meaning is that past
thoughts and actions are stored in the mind, and they will determine our present and future living conditions. Buddhism has a more precise “theory of cause and effect”, meaning "good thoughts and
actions will be rewarded with happiness, and evil thoughts and actions will be rewarded with
suffering."
The Buddha said: I cannot change the karma of every sentient being. All sentient beings can
transform their own destiny according to the Dharma I teach. Everyone needs to help
themselves, and the fate of their destiny is in their own hands. The Buddha is just a teacher, not
an omnipotent god. According to the Buddha’s teachings, all sentient beings listen,
contemplate, and cultivate the Dharma to integrate into the auspicious perfectly complete
Buddhist Cultivation Path that is free from suffering.
Some people will say they don't want to study Buddhism because it takes too much effort, and
they don't want to work hard but still want to get good results. In this world, there is no such
thing as gain without hard work. If someone says this, then they are deceiving you. It is like a
person who does not want to work but wants to become rich. The Buddha tells the truth of
your situation and helps you to transform your present and future according to your own
karmic conditions.
If we want to stay away from suffering, we must create a cause to stay away from suffering.
This cause is the introspection of our personality and the ability to reject our evil thoughts and
behaviors. If we want to be happy, we must create the cause of happiness. This cause is the
purification and sublimation of morality, which will generate more good thoughts and good
deeds. After we practice for a long time our personality reflection and moral sublimation will
become increasingly cleaner and purer; then we become closer to being reborn in the human
and heaven realms in the next life.
When we have negative karma stored in our minds, we cannot escape from suffering. When
our minds are full of good karma, we have happiness. The facts are right in front of us and there
is no way to circumvent or escape them. The so-called practice is that we give ourselves
opportunities. If we want to keep our afflictions and habitual patterns while also wanting to be
happy there is no such thing, no such logic.
Practicing Buddhism is using the wisdom of the Buddha to heal and nourish our mottled scarred
hearts so that we can gradually become healthy and establish noble values, as well as a noble
world and life outlook. After that, according to the principle of cause and effect, our life will
enter a virtuous circle.
Through the study and practice of Buddhism, we can gradually discover our inner life and value,
and experience the beauty beyond material things. Experience inner peace and tranquility in
our mind; understand yourself and the world with the vision and observation of a wise man.
The lotus flower in your heart will gradually bloom and you will live in the lotus world of good
karma and enlightenment.
The Realization Attainments and Spiritual Quality and Characteristics of our Lama Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche:
The Rinpoche's first Guru was Huiling Rinpoche who held the Secret Lineage Tradition from
Manjushri Bodhisattva. Rinpoche received education from his Guru when he was a young child.
He received training in contemplation analysis and logic on different versions of the “Prajna
Paramita Sutra”. At the same time, he learned Manjushri Bodhisattva's Secret Lineage of One
Hundred and Eight Ancient Vajrayana Practice, in which he inherited Manjushri Bodhisattva's
unique esoteric Vajrayana cultivation methods. Rinpoche’s extraordinary learning ability, the
ability to learn complex theory and knowledge, the ability to clearly understand the profound
meanings of the Dharma teachings, the ability to quickly adapt and master any unknown
subject fields, the ability to quickly and simultaneously master both the profound and broad meanings of Sutras, even his loyalty to the Buddha and the Dharma teachings, the code of
conduct of integrity and selflessness, the practice style of bearing hardship, working hard and
having humility, and the principle of considering the needs of others before one’s own needs,
and putting public interest before private interest when both cannot be accommodated
together, all these trainings came from the education of this precious Guru who was like a
father.
In the supreme scenic scenery of Manjushri Bodhisattva’s five-petaled lotus flower, Huiling
Rinpoche gave Rinpoche the strict training. They had a very close Guru-Disciple relationship like
that of a grandfather and grandson. His Guru transmitted the sacred Dharma teachings to him
and felt this child was his all and only hope. In order to guide this child’s concentration and
interest, the Guru sometimes showed the Vajrayana supernatural power to make his disciple
aspire for these, and sometimes he asked him to do a lot of physical work. In brief, under his
Guru’s compassionate protection, Rinpoche grew up healthy. During this stage of development,
due to the special time and space, and the sacred Dharma nurturing and care, Rinpoche was
able to gain the uncommon connection and interaction with Manjushri Bodhisattva.
Rinpoche has studied with many Gurus in the Chinese Buddhism and the four lineages of the
Tibetan Buddhism. In the Tibetan tradition, Rinpoche's main Gurus were Kirti Tsenchab Rinpoche and Dhakpa Rinpoche. These three main Gurus helped him the most in the spiritual aspect. Under
the guidance, blessing and protection of the three spiritual teachers, Rinpoche developed a true
attitude of sacred reverence and refuge to the Three Jewels. He treats the Dharma as the
refuge of his mind and his life. He is fully devoted to Dharma cultivation, analyzing and
discerning the truth of Dharma and attaining realizations. Rinpoche has the same sacred light as
his three Gurus. He treats himself as unimportant and cherishes others wholeheartedly, and
uses whatever he has learned and cultivated to benefit all sentient beings as much as possible.
He is a rare true practitioner of the Buddha's teachings in this current time, leading the sentient
beings to proceed on the great path of real cultivation that makes the Buddha and Bodhisattvas
joyful. Undoubtedly, Rinpoche is the most outstanding disciple of the three Gurus.
Rinpoche appears to be the kind of person who came to this world specifically for practice. In
his world, everything is practice. He spends about fifteen hours a day in cultivation. In many
cases, it is already dawn when he finishes his homework for the day. Rinpoche is superbly
talented. He can read the classic sutra texts very quickly, while mastering both the profound
meaning of the Sutra and the detailed meaning of all different branches meticulously at the
same time. When learning Tantric Vajrayana Practices, the Gurus would sometimes neglect to
explain or skip over the details when teaching him. When this happened, Rinpoche would ask
his Gurus the questions related to the missing parts that they did not explain. His Gurus were
amazed and asked him: “How do you know this?” Rinpoche can examine and discern the
Dharma and can restore the Dharma teachings back to the original style and correct
purpose taught by Buddha. He also has the ability to
discern the current and ancient practices of the Vajrayana cultivation methods, and the ability
to repair and restore them. His Buddhist peers say that if you ask him a question you will,
undoubtedly, receive an accurate and authoritative answer.
Rinpoche carries on the tradition he received from his Gurus. He is humble and modest. But his
understanding of good and evil is extremely clear; there is no room for ambiguity. He is
dedicated to restoring the "Old Kadampa"; spirit of practical cultivation. He believes that all
practice should start from letting go of self-attachment and discerning what is good and evil.
Rinpoche is one of the most important representatives of the Old Kadampa today.
However, Rinpoche’s way of teaching is very simple and concise. He only teaches his disciples
simple content and logic, and then teaches them to recite mantras to help them remove
obstacles to reveal to them their own comprehension power and power to implement the
Dharma. This is a realistic and practical method of cultivation in this Age of Dharma
Degeneration.
Rinpoche has a very rare charm. Anyone who sees him is unwilling to leave. He represents the
positive force in all our hearts by activating hope. Rinpoche has a very special cordial and kind
power, cherishing and helping those with karmic connections to him. You will feel he is the
most trustworthy friend. You will feel that he represents the Buddha's Correct Dharma
Tradition and the Buddha's traditional spiritual style, and he won’t allow these to degenerate or
decay. Rinpoche has inherited the spiritual essence of many Gurus and has tried his best to
analyze the correct and true Dharma from the false Dharma. Wherever Rinpoche goes, the true
Dharma can be restored, and the false teachings can be corrected. His knowledge and learning
are profound and vast. He is humble, kind, and humorous. He has precise logical training to
establish the truth of the problem and can see the key to the problem at a glance. Those who
are close to him will benefit immensely. Having the chance to be close to him will make people
generate faith in Dharma and Buddhism and lead them to practice according to Dharma.
Rinpoche is a wish-fulfilling jewel for all sentient beings to learn Dharma.
