Enjoy a pre-code comedy film, TROUBLE IN PARADISE + have a great Chinese buffet!

Please join us on Thursday, August 14th, for a special evening of great food and entertainment. You'll see a classic TV comedy/mystery, plus a wonderful Ernst Lubitsch comedy film.

Up first (at 6:00 PM) we'll show an episode of the highly underrated TV crime / comedy program, BURKE'S LAW, which starred Gene Barry as a millionaire detective. This witty and entertaining series was known for having numerous famous guest stars in each episode.

Next Up, at approximately 7:00 is the 1932 Paramount pre-code romantic comedy film, TROUBLE IN PARADISE, which starred Miriam Hopkins, Kay Francis, Herbert Marshall, Charles Ruggles and Edward Everett Horton. The movie was directed by Ernst Lubitsch.

A romantically-involved pair of thieves (Miriam Hopkins and Herbert Marshall) set their eyes on conning a rich Parisian socialite (Kay Francis). But things become complicated when the male thief begins to fall for their intended victim.

The restaurant is called; the CITY BUFFET.

There is a private room at the back of the restaurant, so we won't be disturbed by other diners. We will have short breaks throughout the evening, so attendees can restock their plates.

In addition to the films and food, there may be other surprises, including trivia contests and free prizes. There is no charge for the movies, you just pay for your dinner. I hope you can make it!
