Please join us on Thursday, October 9th, for a special evening of great food and entertainment. You'll see a classic TV comedy/mystery, plus a screwball comedy film.
Up first (at 6:00 PM) we'll show an episode of the highly underrated TV crime / comedy program, BURKE'S LAW, which starred Gene Barry as a millionaire detective. This witty and entertaining series was known for having numerous famous guest stars in each episode.
Next Up, at approximately 7:00 is the 1948 RKO comedy film, MR. BLANDINGS BUILDS HIS DREAM HOUSE, which starred Cary Grant, Myrna Loy, Melvyn Douglas and Louise Beavers,
To escape their tiny NYC apartment, Jim Blandings (Cary Grant) and his wife Muriel (Myrna Loy) purchase a picturesque 200-year-old farmhouse in rural Connecticut -- despite the warnings of his lawyer and friend, Bill Cole (Melvyn Douglas). The couple's dream quickly devolves into a nightmare as they face an endless series of mishaps and escalating costs.
The restaurant is called; the CITY BUFFET.
There is a private room at the back of the restaurant, so we won't be disturbed by other diners. We will have short breaks throughout the evening, so attendees can restock their plates.
The restaurant is located at: 100 Live Oaks Blvd Casselberry, FL 32707….. near the intersection of 436 and 17-92.
In addition to the films and food, there may be other surprises, including trivia contests and free prizes. There is no charge for the movies, you just pay for your dinner. I hope you can make it!
