Please join us on Thursday, December 11th, for a special evening of great food and entertainment. You'll see two engaging mysteries.
Up first (at 6:00 PM) we'll show an episode of the highly underrated TV crime / comedy program, BURKE'S LAW, which starred Gene Barry as a millionaire detective. This witty and entertaining series was known for having numerous famous guest stars in each episode.
Next Up, at approximately 7:10 is the 2002 PBS mystery telefilm, SKINWALKERS, which starred Adam Beach, Wes Studi, Sheila Tousey and Alex Rice. The film was directed by Chris Eyre and produced by Robert Redford. This story was based on one of the wonderful novels in the Jim Chee / Joe Leaphorn / Navajo tribal police series, written by Tony Hillerman. An pair of mismatched detectives -- one who is tied to the old Navajo traditions, the other only believes in modern policing -- try to solve the murder of a medicine man. When a second medicine man turns up dead, the policemen start to wonder if they are dealing with a human perpitrator.
The restaurant is called; the CITY BUFFET.
There is a private room at the back of the restaurant, so we won't be disturbed by other diners. We will have short breaks throughout the evening, so attendees can restock their plates.
The restaurant is located at: 100 Live Oaks Blvd Casselberry, FL 32707….. near the intersection of 436 and 17-92.
In addition to the films and food, there may be other surprises, including trivia contests and free prizes. There is no charge for the movies, you just pay for your dinner. I hope you can make it!
