The Music Connection: Casual Session & Creative Jam

About This Event:

Are you a local musician or singer looking for a low-pressure space to play and connect with others—even if you haven't played or sung in a while? Do you have a heart for people and friendships, and want to be part of something that is more than just a standard jam band?

I am hosting a session of The Music Connection specifically to build a community of like-minded music lovers. We aren't looking for complex performances or perfect solos. All types of instruments are welcome! We are looking for those who want to use their musical gifts to help create a warm, supportive, and energetic environment for everyone in the room. Don't play an instrument? No problem! Come and sing with us, add some beautiful harmonies, or even just chill and enjoy the music.

What to Expect:

This is a relaxed, home-hosted gathering. We keep our sessions structured with a clear 90-minute timeline so everyone knows exactly what to expect. Together, we will play from our community playlist, explore new songs, dive into a fun creative music activity to stimulate our hearts and minds, and hold space for optional sharing.

Families & Kids Welcome: We have kids of our own and plenty of toys to share, so children are absolutely welcome! However, please keep in mind that this is an adult-focused space and is not a kid-centric group. Because our focus is enabling everyone to feel relaxed, involved, and safe enough to share during our quieter moments, please consider this when it comes to younger ones. Parents are fully responsible for supervising their children throughout the session.

What to Bring

• Your Instrument: Please bring your favorite instrument. If you play piano, I have an upright you can use here. If you play percussion, bring what you are comfortable bringing (a cajon would be fun), but I have a djembe, crash cymbal, and an assortment of other percussion instruments you can use right here.
• A Charged Device: We look at all of our shared group lyric and chord sheets digitally during the session. Please make sure to bring your phone or tablet fully charged so you can easily follow along!
