“Escape to Elliott Mountain via the Outlaw Loop Trail Hike and Potluck!”

Hike is Apprx. 5.3 Miles in Length and 850’ in Elevation Gain. Rating is Moderate.

Hello Happy Hikes! Members,
let’s do a hike many have not done in awhile or ever before!

Elliot Mtn. was named after Burt Elliot, a longtime volunteer who passed in 2014. The Trail gets rocky in places so please wear proper footwear with good tread and poles if you use them.

The first mile has very little elevation, so button up and bring a pistol and sasparilla for the Outlaw Loop, Yee Haw!

At First major junction, We’ll turn Right and Begin our ascent on the Western Plateau Trail, making a Right near the top onto The Outlaw Loop Trail. We’ll take the Elliot Mountain Spur Right to the commanding view atop Elliot Mountain! We’ll descend down the spur, making a Right onto Outlaw and a Right at the bottom, a quick jog in the Trail and a short walk to the Vista Point, where we will share the Loot! Potluck location is Apprx. 3/4 of the way through hike.

Please stay with group. If proceeding before hike leaders please screenshot provided trail directions and trail overview pictures. And possibly download a free navigation app like Strava or AllTrails.

Please bring water, hat, sun glasses, bug spray, layers, and of course a delectable Potluck item to share!
