You know the feeling. A week passes and you can't quite say where it went. Then, once in a while, an hour stretches out and fills you with meaning and purpose. That’s the difference between time that's counted and time that's lived.
This is the first of a three-part evening series exploring that difference, and what it has to do with the deeper hunger so many of us are carrying right now — for meaning, in our work, our relationships, our own unfolding.
Format
This isn't a lecture. It's a gathering — part talk, part open conversation, held in a space designed to feel more like a living room. You'll be welcomed, you'll listen, and you'll have room to think and speak alongside others who are asking similar questions — questions that often don't have anywhere to go in normal life.
What we'll explore
Why the ancient Greeks had two separate words for time — one for the clock, one for the moment that actually means something — and what that tells us about why modern life can feel so full and so empty at once.
Why your nervous system reacts to a notification the way it once reacted to real danger, and what that mismatch is quietly costing you.
Why attention itself has become a fragmented, contested resource — and what that has to do with whether a day feels meaningful, or just full.
What to bring
Nothing but yourself and an open mind. You'll receive a small piece of paper at the start of the evening with the only instruction being to notice what stands out to you over the course of the night. A word, a sentence, a feeling. Write it down. Whatever lands is yours to keep.
