The Downtowners is an informal group of people who live or work downtown and want to support locally owned businesses through monthly happy hour events and periodic informational sessions on timely downtown topics, while creating opportunities to meet new friends, find avenues to engage, and generally making a point to enjoy all that is downtown Madison.

Join the Downtowners Social Club as we kick off the first Night Market of the season at our Night Market Headquarters, the Red Shed.
With 100+ vendors, food carts, street performers, and multiple live music stages, the Night Market takes over downtown.Right in the heart of State Street, this is your go to spot to gather and recharge. Stop in between exploring or make it your home base for the night.
We’ll have a seltzer tasting, great drinks, and the return of one of downtown’s most iconic hangouts, bringing that classic State Street feel with a fresh new vibe.
Expect a fun, casual crowd enjoying the warm, barn-wood atmosphere and the nostalgic State Street feel that makes the Red Shed a downtown favorite.
