Welcome to the Imagine Well Being Mindfulness and Recovery Private Support Group” a safe and supportive space for individuals looking to address addictive or compulsive behaviors through mindfulness meditation.

Our definition of mindfulness is "paying attention on purpose in the present moment non-judgmentally.” Regular mindfulness meditation connects the mind and body. It teaches us to avoid self-criticism and obsessing about the past or fearing the future.

Each session will include a brief teaching on mindfulness, as well as several short meditations that will help facilitate discussions among participants about how mindfulness can help address addictive behaviors.

We prioritize respect for one another, confidentiality, and anonymity to ensure a safe and supportive environment. You may choose to keep your video off and use a pseudonym if choose to maintain anonymity.

To maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere, we ask that all participants follow these guidelines:

  • Be kind and respectful to one another.
  • Refrain from giving advice unless requested.
  • Honor the confidentiality and anonymity of all group members.

This group is designed to cultivate a mindfulness practice that may have a beneficial impact on dealing with addiction and other potentially destructive behaviors.

We look forward to welcoming you and supporting you on your journey towards a more balanced and connected life.

Participation in Imagine Well Being wellness practices and community is not a substitute for professional medical help or therapeutic treatment.

YOUR GUIDE:
An experienced mindfulness meditation teacher who has used mindfulness in their 27-year abstention from alcohol and drugs will facilitate the class.

This Meetup is sponsored by the non-profit Imagine Well Being. Imagine Well Being offers evidence-based well-being education and practices in a free and public forum built on the values of compassion and service.

LIABILITY RELEASE:
With my RSVP, I hereby stipulate that I am physically sound to participate in this event.

I understand and agree that all classes, gatherings, and workshops are undertaken at my sole risk and that Imagine Well Being guides and instructors shall not be liable for injuries or damages to my person or property arising from or connected to any of these activities.

I authorize Imagine Well Being guides and instructors to call 911 in the event that I appear to require emergency medical care, and I assume responsibility for all associated costs.

I have carefully read this agreement and understand its contents. I agree that it is a complete release of liability for any injuries or damage that I may sustain due to Imagine classes, gatherings, and workshops.
