We are moving our Friday game nights to Whirlyball! I’m happy to announce that we'll have more space for everyone. Join us for an evening of board games, bowling, and Whirlyball.
We will meet for two consecutive Fridays at Whirlyball, and then for two consecutive Thursdays at Lostfriends Brewery. We play a variety of card and board games, so feel free to bring your own and enjoy a great time with us.
Most games are easy to learn and last between 10 to 30 minutes. However, all games are welcome!

Every month we get together to hang out, grab drinks if you choose, and discuss a book we've read together. Part book club, part social, whether you love books or just want to hang out you're in the right place.

A masterpiece of rebellion and imprisonment where war is peace freedom is slavery and Big Brother is watching. Thought Police, Big Brother, Orwellian - these words have entered our vocabulary because of George Orwell's classic dystopian novel 1984. The story of one man's Nightmare Odyssey as he pursues a forbidden love affair through a world ruled by warring states and a power structure that controls not only information but also individual thought and memory 1984 is a prophetic haunting tale. More relevant than ever before 1984 exposes the worst crimes imaginable the destruction of truth freedom and individuality.

This is an event being put on by the Gold Prospectors of Colorado (GPoC), a local non-profit club that teaches about Colorado gold history, prospecting, gold panning, and other fun & interesting things in the great Colorado outdoors.

This event is called a poker run. You pay $10 for a score card, and then you travel to various spots along a route. At each stop, you learn about various aspects of gold prospecting and also collect a playing card. At the last stop, the people who have collected the best poker hands from their collected playing cards win fabulous prizes! The stops will be at GPoC claim sites, which are normally closed off to the public except for during this event (People who join the club for $30/year would have access to these claim sites for camping and prospecting).

The last stop on the Poker Run is very close to Salida, so I thought that maybe once we wrap up the Poker Run, we can head over to Salida in the afternoon for food, drink, and maybe even a short hike before returning to the Springs.

I will post the full itinerary in the photo section of this event so that you can see all of the stop locations. I would also be up for arranging some carpools if there is any interest in that!
