Centennial Airport Runway 5K!

Here's another fun 5K race that I have been meaning to check out. They actually shut down an airport runway in the morning and we get to run up and down the tarmac with the Denver Broncos cheerleaders and mascot cheering us on! Since it's on an airport runway, you could not ask for a more flat 5K course, so this is a great 5K for beginners! After crossing the finish line, there's a nice post-race party where you get to eat hot dogs and look at historical aircraft parked outside and get to go through the aviation museum. Registration also comes with a nice shirt and a finisher medal. All in all, it looks like a uniquely fun experience!

This race is not until June 6th, so why am I posting this event in February? Because last year it was so popular that it completely SOLD OUT! So register early if you can! This race is in Centennial, so make sure you give yourself enough time to drive up there, park, and ride the shuttle bus to the starting line in time for the 9:00 AM race start time. As we get closer to the date, I will check in to see if anyone is interested in carpooling to the race. Hope you can make it!
