[4 Spots Left] Indian Peaks Wilderness - Crater Lake Backpacking Trip
Details
We will be traveling to the Indian Peaks Wilderness and backpacking to the gorgeous Mirror Lake/Crater Lake BZ area and the Cascade Creek BZ area.
We will leave the springs around 1600; and will arrive to the trailhead around 1900. The hike will start at Monarch Lake Trailhead (Coordinates: 40.1111, -105.7464) where we will trek 7.1 miles, pass Mirror Lake, and set up camp at Crater Lake (Coordinates: 40.077339, -105.66199). Most hiking on the first day will occur after sunset; we have permits for both Cascade Creek and Crater Lake Friday night so we can set up camp early if need be. On Saturday we will move camp to Cascade Creek Backcountry Zone, where we may do a day hike somewhere.

- Backpack
- Bear Box & Food
- Clothing/Extra Clothing
- Sleeping Bag
- Sleeping Pad
- Water Bladder
Gear that will be required but one to two people can bring to share with the group:
- Backpacking Stove & Gas
- Ultralight Tent
- Water Filter
