About us
A couple of years ago I swapped rom-coms for thrillers and never looked back. It started with films and shows, then spread to games, books and mysteries of every kind. I started this group to meet other people who enjoy a good crime story and to solve murder mysteries together. I want it to be a welcoming place where you can come on your own, meet people and share a hobby.
What we do
Once a month we meet to solve a fictional murder case. The format can vary between cold cases, puzzle hunts and roleplay nights, but at the moment most of our events are cold cases.
Here's how a cold case works. You get the documents an investigator would get: witness statements, interviews, forensic reports, photographs, phone records, floor plans. Then you work. You read the statements against each other, build a timeline, measure the physical evidence, and decide whose account holds up. By the end of the session, we name a suspect and see how we did.
Who it's for
No experience needed. If you like modern mysteries, true crime, or the particular satisfaction of noticing that two people can't both be telling the truth, you'll fit right in. Most of us came for the case and stayed for the company. Arguing over who's lying is half the fun, and the friendships tend to follow.
Community rules
- Respect each other. Listen to your teammates, let everyone have their say, and disagree about the evidence, not the person. Discrimination or harassment of any kind isn’t tolerated.
- This isn’t a competition. There are no prizes and no leaderboard. The point is to work through the case together and enjoy it, whether or not your team solves it.

Halloween Horrow Fest Murder Mystery - Live Detective Investigation
Hello, fellow private investigators,
Join us for a Halloween investigation into the (fictional) unsolved murder of a movie theatre owner. This isn’t a roleplay night. You won’t get a character or a script. Instead, we’re all detectives on the same case, working through witness statements, forensic reports, crime scene photos and evidence files, and arguing it out together until we know who did it and why.
🎃 Costume contest
Come dressed in your best Halloween costume! It’s optional but strongly encouraged. The best-dressed man and best-dressed woman of the evening will each take home a small prize.
What to expect
- Format: A sealed cold case file, opened in stages. Each stage ends with a checkpoint question, and you unlock the next envelope by proving what the evidence shows. There’s no host handing out answers, only the evidence. If your team gets stuck, a sealed hint is there for you.
- Teams: Groups of 3–6 investigators. Bring friends or come solo and I’ll find you a team.
- Time: Roughly 2–3 hours. Expect to sit down, take notes and argue.
- Difficulty: Pick easy, medium or hard when you check in.
- Experience: None needed, and you don’t need to have attended previous cases. There are no codes to crack and no trivia to know. Everything you need is somewhere in the file.
- Language: English.
- Location: Generator Berlin, a 5-minute walk from Alexanderplatz. There’s a special Halloween drinks menu on the day, plus the regular food menu.
- Cost: €5 per person, paid at check-in. This covers the case files and organising costs. I don’t make a profit from these events.
