FriendingAround Vienna brings people together through playful social events, creative activities and shared experiences that make it easier to meet new people and build friendships in Vienna. From conversation games and group challenges to creative evenings and themed events such as Overdressed, we give people something enjoyable to do together while getting to know one another. Our community welcomes locals, expats, international residents and newcomers, whether you’ve just moved to Vienna or simply want to expand your social circle. Come alone or bring a friend, join in at your own pace and enjoy a welcoming, respectful atmosphere. We’re here to help people connect through curiosity, creativity and a little play, with opportunities to share a laugh, discover new interests and turn unfamiliar faces into familiar ones.

DRESS CODE: ELEGANT STYLE
From tuxedos, blazers and cocktail dresses to elegant cultural or national attire, this is your chance to wear something special.
Perfect is optional; making an effort is part of the evening. Please avoid gym clothes, hoodies, sportswear, beachwear, flip-flops, dirty trainers and very casual outfits.

Terrible Art Day: Funniest way to meet new people
Ruby Lissi Hotel Vienna by IHG, Fleischmarkt 19, 1010 Wien, Austria, Wien, ATWe’re bringing our popular Terrible Art format to Vienna! Meet new people by drawing each other with ridiculous prompts, where a questionable portrait is all part of the fun. See our Instagram .
Terrible at drawing? Perfect. No artistic skills are needed. And if you can draw, prepare to try your non-dominant hand.
How it works- You’ll be paired with different people throughout the afternoon and draw each other.
- We’ll give you ridiculous prompts. Think your partner as a grumpy cat or a potato. It’s a little like karaoke, but with pencils.
- At the end of each round, you’ll sign your masterpiece and give it to your partner.
- You’ll leave with The Cursed Collection: a collection of hilarious, wonderfully weird portraits of yourself.
Come alone or bring friends. We’ll pair you up for the rounds, giving you someone to draw and a shared activity to start chatting over.
All materials are provided. We use only ordinary pencils—no coloured pencils or liquid paints. Please don’t bring your own art materials. Just bring your sense of humour!
