Tara Borman Bio
I am originally from Colorado, but moved to Tucson in January of 2022 for reasons that the desert’s wisdom is still revealing. I graduated from Metropolitan State University in 2014 with a BA in Speech Communications and Human Services. After graduation I worked for a non-profit in homeless housing programs and also worked for the Department of Human Services economic assistance programs. In 2022, I decided to transition from burned out public service worker to yoga teacher and after completing my yoga teacher certification, started working as a yoga teacher for a mental health and addiction treatment center.
Along the way, I met C.G. Jung and his work to be instrumental in my own personal journey toward wholeness. The call to take a deeper dive into the world of Depth Psychology became louder and louder. After a sequence of synchronous events, I found myself at Pacifica Graduate Institute in their MA Depth Psychology and Creativity with an Emphasis on Arts and Humanities. In this program I get to explore how art and creative expression are integral to Jung’s individuation process. In this program, I am moving towards a career as an Art Therapist.
