About us
I'm Georgina Terry, an integrative therapist and group facilitator, and I'm passionate about the therapeutic and restorative power of writing and the arts.
I host Writing for Wellbeing, a series of welcoming, creative writing workshops at Sam's Cafe in Primrose Hill, North London.
Taking place on the 2nd and 4th Thursday evening of each month, from 6.30–8pm, these 90-minute sessions offer a chance to slow down, step away from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with yourself and others through writing.
Each workshop includes:
-Gentle, imaginative writing prompts to get your creativity flowing.
-Inspiration from poetry, literature and other writers.
-Guided reflective writing exercises.
-Time and space to write freely, explore ideas and follow your curiosity.
-An opportunity to share your writing and connect with others, if you wish.
I'm particularly interested in how writing can help us process experiences, express emotions, discover new perspectives and find meaning. You don't need to think of yourself as a writer to benefit. These workshops are about the process rather than the finished product – there is no expectation to produce polished writing or share anything personal.
I have seven years' experience working as a therapist and group facilitator across NHS hospitals, charities, community hubs and private practice, and am an accredited member of the BACP.
