What we’re about

I just found out, at the age of 40, that I am EMPHATICALLY not neurotypical. I have aphantasia (an inability to visualize), prosopagnosia (faceblindness), stereoblindness (amblyopia and strabismus), and Severely Deficient Autobiographical Memory.

I'm a science writer so I wrote a whole book about it, and all the people I interviewed for it -- people who have the same brain quirks as me -- were AWESOME! We have so many random things in common!

So I thought it would be super fun to get together in person with my fellow neurodivergants, and play games or just hang out. We can share tips for living in a world that was built for and by brains that are markedly different from our own, chat about new research, or whatever. I know a lot of us prosos have social anxiety, and I will do my darnedest to make sure that everyone is comfortable. (I am thinking name tags!)
