Ptarmagin Lake Tr ~6 mi

Details
This is a spectacular, relatively quick out & back in the San Isabel National Forest. It's about 10 miles west of Buena Vista, and it's stunning!
We start at the trailhead and cross over some fallen rock and rubble. It's a mostly wooded trail that winds up to some ponds, then at around mile 2 we see our first lake (great camping here!). We will keep going in the open, now, another mile or so to Ptarmagin Lake. Beautiful views here, some fishing as well.
An optional continuation around the lake and up to a saddle for some top views of the lake, should people want to go a tad further ๐.
We will have a snack and head back down.
Dogs allowed on leash.
Elevation gain is ~1466' to the lake. More to the saddle, but not too difficult of a trail overall.
*Parking is very limited, so the numbers are tight on this one. Carpool in the Springs highly recommended.
Lunch in Buena Vista post-hike is optional, some great spots here. Make a day of the it ๐.
