Mueller State Park, Cheesman Ranch ~5 mi loop

This is a great loop that circles the hills & valleys of the park. A few options on the loop as it has inner trails as well, if we want to avoid the stretch that parallels the road.

Beautiful stretch of Aspen on this route.

Nothing really tough on this one, just a few steady up/down sections. Total gain is 622'. Partly open and in the trees.

No dogs allowed on this trail, like most state parks.

There is an entry fee of $10 without a pass.

**NOTE: the parking lot for this can be confusing to find. It's past a bunch of campgrounds and RV pullouts. Head past the Grouse Mountain Campground. There is a RIGHT turn off the top loop to a stem road and parking lot. No cell coverage so please get your directions set beforehand.
