Staunton SP ~8 mile loop

Let's head back up to Pine, CO for a great loop hike at Staunton SP. This roughly 8 mile loop offers fantastic views over the area mountains. We will hike counter-clockwise up the Mason Creek Trail, then around to multiple views on the Bear Paw circuit, which brings us back to Mason Creek. Here we can cut back down the Old Mill trail to the Staunton Ranch trail, or continue on around another mile or so to the base trail and back to our parking lot.

** There is a $10 entry fee w/o a State Park pass **

Parking: Drive thru the entry gate and follow the road up to two parking areas. One on the left has bathrooms (Upper parking lot), continue just a short ways and on the right is a big lot. We will meet here on the RIGHT parking lot (picnic tables). You can park at the bathrooms, too, just walk over to the other lot.

Elevation gain ~1,250'. This hike is rated intermediate.
