Details
What to expect: π€
Join us for a fun walking event through Oxford. We will begin outside the Head of the River, where weβll take a leisurely walk through the beautiful surroundings on our way along the River Thames.
Our next stop will be Isis Farmhouse, a cosy pub where weβll pause for drinks and socialising. After enjoying some refreshments, weβll continue our journey by making a U turn, walking back to the city centre. The event will conclude at the Holly Bush, where we will stop for drinks before our pleasant outing finally comes to a close.
Expect a relaxed and sociable atmosphere, great company, and picturesque views along the way!

Q&A π
Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions relating to this event:
I'm new and feel anxious. Is this group not right for me? π¨
Attending for the first time is pushing you out of your comfort zone, so it is normal to feel anxious on your first occasion. We always have a mixture of new and old faces. Regulars are very welcoming and it takes only 2-4 events for most members to feel settled in. Our advice is to give it a shot and reflect afterwards if the event is right for you.
How will I find you? π§
Once the organiser arrives, they will share in the comments roughly where we are located, with a description of what they are wearing.
Will I require hiking equipment? π₯Ύ
This is going to be a 4 mile walk, along a concrete path, so there is no need to prepare yourself for an intense hike.
Can I bring my pet dog with me? π
You're welcome to bring your dog on the walk! We just ask that you take full responsibility for them and any issues that might arise.
Do I have to drink alcohol? π·
There are no conditions to what you choose to drink, with some main organisers being non-alcoholic drinkers.
Can I just meet you at Isis Farmhouse? π»
Yes, you can! We aim to arrive at roughly 3 PM.
Do I have to return with you to the Holly Bush? π
If leaving the event early is more convenient for you, you are welcome to leave when you see fit.
We live in Britain, surely it's going to rain? β
If this turns out to be the case, an alternative plan will be posted, likely being socialising in a nearby pub.
Can I bring additional people with me? π©π»βπ€βπ¨π½
Yes, you can, but please add them as additional attendees to your name when checking-in.
Is this a dating event? π©ββ€οΈβπ¨
We accept that relationships will naturally form in our group. However, the primary goal of this event is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone to socialise and have fun with dates being a bonus.
Group Rules π
Here is a guide to what we expect of members:
1) Be respectful of others ππΌ
You'll encounter diverse individuals, some of whom you may not connect with immediately. Instead of arguing, acknowledge your differences. Refrain from harassing members, whether in person or on social media, outside of events.
2) Appreciate what the organisers do β€οΈ
Please remember we are not a business and that all the organisers in the group are hosting events on a voluntary basis. The events we host are for ourselves to enjoy as much as you do.
3) Have a valid photo of yourself in your profile π€³πΎ
There have been multiple occasions where members have received inappropriate messages, all from members without photos. To help prevent this from happening, we ask all members to provide a photo of themselves.
4) Update your attending status correctly β
Not knowing the correct number of attendees can negatively impact the event. Excessive absences and/or gatecrashing events, without valid reasons, will lead to removal from the group.
5) Do not take control of events hosted π€
The organisers already have a plan for the event they are hosting. To prevent any difficulties, respect what the organisers have set up for you. Members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.
6) Do not advertise your own activities in the group without permission π
π»
Whilst we are happy to see additional events, they must apply to the group's structure. If you want to advertise any of your events, contact Kevin.
