What to expect: ๐Ÿค”
Come and socialise with us at the Gloucester Green Food Market! This will be your chance to try out some of the diverse street foods available. Alternatively, you can just browse and socialise if you prefer.

Once everyone has had a chance to enjoy the market, we will go for a short walk in University Parks, ending with us stopping at the Royal Oak pub for drinks.

Important Information: โš ๏ธ

  • No tables are reserved at the venue
  • Repeated no-shows or instances of gatecrashing may result in removal from future group events
  • If you require reasonable adjustments, please inform the event organiser in advance
  • Guests must be aged 18 or over

The Plan: ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

  • 2 PM: We will meet at Gloucester Green Market, just outside Thirsty Meeples.
  • 2:10 PM: You will have the opportunity to try a diverse range of foods and socialise in the Red Lion pub.
  • 3 PM: We will leave the Red Lion and go for a short walk in Oxford University Parks.
  • 4 PM: We will stop at the Royal Oak pub for drinks.
  • 5 PM: The event will come to a close.

Q&A ๐Ÿ‘€
Here are the common questions asked relating to this event:

I'm new and feel anxious. Is this group not right for me? ๐Ÿ˜จ
Attending for the first time is pushing you out of your comfort zone, so it is normal to feel anxious on your first occasion. We always have a mixture of new and old faces. Regulars are very welcoming and it takes only 2-4 events for most members to feel settled in. Our advice is to give it a shot and reflect afterwards if the event is right for you.

How will I find you? ๐Ÿง
Once the organiser arrives, they will share in the comments roughly where they are located, with a description of what they are wearing.

We live in Britain, surely it's going to rain? โ˜”
If this turns out to be the case, an alternative plan will be posted, likely being socialising in a nearby pub or cafe.

Where will I be able to park? ๐Ÿš—
Whilst it's not impossible to find parking in Oxford, the limited availability, as well as costs, can make parking incredibly challenging. Therefore, we encourage members to use the most convenient public transport available.

Can I bring additional people with me? ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝ
Yes you can, providing they are aged 18 or over. You are also responsible for any potential problematic behaviours from guests you bring with you. Please put them as +1 when you check-in so we can try and find us enough space.

Do I have to buy food? ๐Ÿจ
With the prime focus of the event being to socialise, this is completely optional.

Is this a dating event? ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ‘จ
Whilst we recognise and accept that relationships do form in social settings, we ask members to be mindful that this is not an event specifically for dating. Therefore, if your only reason for attending is to find your soulmate, this event will not be the right event for you.

I think I've found you, but I'm too scared to approach! Can I have the organisers contact number? ๐Ÿ“ณ
As we are not a business, organisers will not be making their personal numbers public. However, we will post in the comments a rough description of where we are located, as well as a description of what the organiser is wearing. The rest is about you stepping out of your comfort zone and approaching!

Group Rules ๐Ÿ“
To make our events as safe and easy as possible, we ask all members to respect the following guidelines:

1) Be respectful of others ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
You'll encounter diverse individuals, some of whom you may not connect with immediately. Instead of arguing, acknowledge your differences. Refrain from harassing members, whether in person or on social media, outside of events.

2) Appreciate what the organisers do โค๏ธ
Please remember we are not a business and that all the organisers in the group are hosting events on a voluntary basis. The events we host are for ourselves to enjoy as much as you do.

3) Have a valid photo of yourself in your profile ๐Ÿคณ๐Ÿพ
There have been multiple occasions where members have received inappropriate messages, all from members without photos. To help prevent this from happening, we ask all members to provide a photo of themselves.

4) Update your attending status correctly โœ…
Not knowing the correct number of attendees can negatively impact the event. Excessive absences and/or gatecrashing events, without valid reasons, will lead to removal from the group.

5) Do not take control of events hosted ๐Ÿค
The organisers already have a plan for the event they are hosting. To prevent any difficulties, respect what the organisers have set up for you. Members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.

6) Do not advertise your own activities in the group without permission ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿป
Whilst we are happy to see additional events, they must apply to the group's structure. If you want to advertise any of your events, contact Kevin.
