Sustainability Club - Outdoor bouldering and picnic at Boyce Park
Details
Come join ASCEND Sustainability Club for free outdoor climbing and a potluck at Boyce Bouldering Park! We will be climbing from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by a little on-site potluck picnic.
The address is Boyce Park Skate Park, 300 Wave Pool Way, Plum, PA 15239 -- right next to the biking pump track.
Climbing details:
- Boyce Park's outdoor bouldering area is free and accessible for all climbing levels. (Fun fact: It's one of the largest free outdoor bouldering wall sites in the country!)
- This event will be outside in October, so dress accordingly.
- Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to stretch.
- Attendees are responsible for bringing their own climbing shoes.
Food details:
- Climbing works up an appetite, so we'll be having a casual potluck picnic after we're done fighting gravity on the bouldering walls.
- Feel free to bring food or drinks to share!
Sustainability Club details:
- We're a social rock-climbing club full of folks who care about the environment.
- We meet the first Thursday of each month to climb together at one of ASCEND's Pittsburgh locations (alternating between South Side and Point Breeze each month).
- When we're not climbing, we like to volunteer on local stewardship projects and enjoy the outdoors together. It's a good time.
Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
- Gretchen and Emily, Sustainability Club Co-Captains
