Welcome to our philosophy gathering. We’re really glad you’re here. We’re meeting because we believe that asking deep questions is part of what it means to be human, questions about meaning, truth, morality, freedom, and how we ought to live. Our hope is to create a space that feels thoughtful but relaxed, serious but welcoming, a place where curiosity is encouraged, disagreement is respectful, and no one feels pressure to have everything figured out.

In our third meeting, we’ll discuss a short article called 'The Moral Case for Long-Term Thinking.' You can access the article here.

Building on this, we’ll explore questions about stewardship and our responsibility toward others: Are we obligated to make the world a better place? Do we owe anything to future generations? Why does it matter to make a positive impact?

We encourage you to read the article and highlight what stands out to you. We believe there’s plenty of interesting material to spark good conversations. As always, the goal is not to arrive at final answers, but to think carefully together and learn from each other’s perspectives.
